Alcázar Genil
Alcázar Genil, Granada, 1996
This intervention took place in 1996, in a small Nasrid pavilion near the river Genil that preserves much of its original decoration. The large perforated vessel full of silica sand which, when the holes are opened, loses some of its content and creates geometric ornamentation inside, resonates with the plaster muqarnas of the ceiling. When the light enters through the oculus opposite the entrance, the whole space vibrates.
