Blood Mandalas
GalerĂa Trinta, Santiago de Compostela, 1996/7
A series of 32 (selection) or of 64 paintings and collages made with alcohol aniline on DIN-A1 graph paper, made in 1996-1997.
They were conceived to cover the walls of an exhibition venue in a continuous frieze that would decorate the whole hall, leaving some empty space above it, depending on the height of the space.
Each one of them is a reflection of the mind and a hand gesture at a specific moment in time because the speed with which the alcohol evaporates does not allow for correction of any kind.
