Fountain of Sand

Palacio de los Condes de Gavia. Granada, 2000.

This work alludes to the fountains of the Palace of the Alhambra and the Generalife gardens. It consists of a room at one end of which is a red wall from which a jet of silica sand is discharged every 5 minutes. The sand is collected in a grid, and with the help of a conveyor belt and a system of containers hidden behind the wall, it is taken back to the “mouth” to be discharged once again.
