Living Sources

Church of the Dominican Monastery of Santo Domingo, Pollença Museum. 2019 2019

Living Sources is an installation that compiles the names of Mallorca’s most significant natural sources of water,
written in light inside coolers,
as well as a sound recording and some performative elements. The recordings
play voices reading headlines connected with issues to do with water
interspersed with timeless sentences about this vital element. The work reflects
on the sequels of technification, the effects of mass tourism, the growing scarcity of water and
the increasing contamination of aquifers.
