Mud, She Said

GalerĂa Montenegro, Madrid, 1985

This construction of a minimal sheltering space made of adobe bricks. The space is conceived to allow visitors to become acutely aware of the invisible part of their body the kind of aura that surrounds them, whose colours and extension can be seen today thanks to Kirlian photography. An invisible stratum only used by the blind. On entering this helmet-house, the very edges of the body brush against the adobe wall producing a sensation of acute presence.
